Average pricing for our puppies is $3,500-$5000.
We have been involved in this breed since 2005. In 2008, we actively started our breeding program. Our goal at Brick House Bulldogs has been to produce beautiful, companion dogs that are able to be active and comfortable in warmer weather.
We are a small in home kennel with a limited but well-planned breeding program. A well-planned breeding program means that each breeding is of extra importance to us, as we choose each pairing precisely to get the best quality.
We concentrate our efforts into caring for and socializing our pups and adults on a regular basis, as you would with any beloved fur family member. We follow a unique, puppy rearing and development program catered to each puppy's needs. So that it gives all of our puppies, no matter their future, the best possible start in life.
At Brick House, our first concern is health. Our extensive breeder and Veterinary Connections gives us the opportunity to do educated research including going to veterinary lectures about new advances in verterinary reproduction and breeding practices. After health, we balance temperament, and conformation. We strive to breed French Bulldogs who are Healthy, playful, and loving.
We are concerned about a few genetic problems facing some French Bulldogs. At a minimum, all of our breeding dogs must be tested for patella luxation, eye abnormalities, carrier status for Canine Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Degenerative myelopathy (DM), Canine Hyperuricosuria (HUU) and hip dysplasia. All of our breeding dogs have preliminary health screenings.
Our IDEAL FRENCH BULLDOG and the goal of our breeding program, is a dog of sound structure that:
has the biddability and intelligence to be trained for a wide variety of activities by the experienced owner.
is healthy and sound, with no chronic illnesses of any kind, including allergies and orthopedic problems.
lives a long and healthy life as a beloved member of the family.
Has a moderate energy level that settles well in any household.
Our dogs fit well into semi active homes where they will be the center of attention, with regular training and exercise. We seek pet homes for 99% our puppies. A very select few may go to a small in home breeding program, where they will be family members first. But these are not your typical breeder homes where the dog gets 15 minutes of attention once a day. Rather, they are homes where the dog is a spoiled family companion where the dog participates in many if not most of the family’s activities, homes where the dogs health and happiness is a top priority.
We seek to follow the highest Code of Ethics. We do all we can to treat our buyers fairly and to use our interactions as a means to educate them and the general public about dog behavior, the responsibilities of dog ownership, and good animal husbandry.
We are committed to our own continuing education–as breeders, trainers, and owners. We do this through our animal rescue background, extensive education in canine genetics, animal behavior/dog breeding, seminars, course work (Avidog/Puppy Culture), and discussions with professional dog trainers, and other members of the dog fancy. We also put into practice what we have learned by training and exhibiting our own dogs.
